About Quy Nhon and Quy Nhon University

◦ Quy Nhon is a port city and capital of Binh Dinh Province (central Vietnam), with total area approx 284 km2 (110 ml2) and population around 540,000. Port Quy Nhon (Cang Quy Nhon) is Binh Dinh Province's main seaport located in Hai Cang ward at the city's eastern tip. Port Quy Nhon also serves the provinces Kon Tum and Gia Lai, and even the provinces in Ratanakiri (Cambodia) and Attapeu (Laos).

◦ The manucipality is composed of 16 wards and 5 communes. Historically, city's economy is based on fishing and agriculture. In recent years is reported a significant growth in tourism and service industries. There is also a significant manufacturing sector.

◦ The town (and seaport Thi Nai) were established in late-18th century. Town's origins go back to 11th-century (Champa culture) and 1620s (when Portuguese Jesuits named the place Pulo Cambi).

◦ Quy Nhon is the birthplace of 18th-century Vietnamese emperor Nguyen Hue. Currently, the city is recognized as first class, with geo-economic priority and well-developed infrastructure.

◦ National Route 19 features its starting point at Quy Nhon Port. It leads up to Gia Lai Province and Le Thanh border gate on Cambodia's border (247 km from Quy Nhon Port). The road also links the cruise port to National Road 1.

Quy Nhon is located in Central Vietnam. There are various ways to arrive to this beautiful beach.

By Plane

It takes about 1 hour to fly from Hanoi (Noi Bai International airport) and Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat International airport) to Phu Cat airport of Quy Nhon city. You can find suitable flight from Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet or Jetstar Airlines.

By Train

It takes about 14 hours from Saigon Railroad Station to Quy Nhon Station.

By Bus

There are many buses from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon such as FUTA Bus, Hoang Long Asia, etc. It takes about 14 hours for this type of transportation.
